Vladimir Putin has warned that allowing U.S. weapons to strike inside Russia would make America a direct party to the conflict.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the decision authorizing the use of the US-supplied longer-range missiles by Ukraine to strike inside Russia will "add fuel to the fire" in the conflict.

Allowing Ukraine to target Russia with U.S.-supplied long-range missiles would trigger a “significant new round of escalation” in the war, the Kremlin’s top spokesman said Monday. Weapons are likely to be used in response to the decision by North Korea to support Russian President Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine.

According to "The New York Times," the current President of the United States, Joe Biden, has, for the first time, permitted the Ukrainian military to utilise long-range ATACMS missiles to target Russian territory.
